Design and build an e-com site for 75 products in two months.
Wink is an app that allows you to sync all of your smart home devices. In the Fall of 2014 they asked us to design and build an e-com experience that launched in partnership with several pieces of video content (also being created by R/GA). Wink wanted their customers to know that connected homes are not as complicated, expensive, and inaccessible as some would believe. Our goal was to make their products feel as simple and approachable as possible.
My Role: Experience Design Director
During this tight deadline, I was responsible for the interaction design of the site. I worked in close partnership with a visual design director and together, we helped establish the design elements, patterns, and pages that would come together to create wink.com.
This project was my first experience working in agile and the team worked together so well that I still borrow and implement processes that I learned from this project with my teams, today.
